Well Christmas is now over! I was expecting to have a very pleasant but very quiet Christmas with my beautiful daughter at my place. As it turned out I went and stayed with her for the night before Christmas and Christmas night. Suzie was cooking gingerbread up until midnight as it had been too hot during the day, so we had a very late night. We had, as always, great times together. Thank you Suzie for my coffee in bed!
Then on Christmas day we went to my son’s for a fabulous lunch with him, his partner and their kids. Everyone just seemed to enjoy being together. After lunch we all jumped in the pool (my youngest grandson had been in and out all day, doing back flips – he’s 6 years old). It was soooo relaxing and refreshing and we had lots of fun. Then it was time to go and pick up my daughter’s son (another grandson of mine) and his partner and back to her place for more together time. By the time we put them in a taxi and sent them home, I was totally exhausted and soon went to bed.
Yesterday, after more quality time with my lovely girl, I returned home to my cat, Little Bit, who was very pleased to see me home and hasn’t left my side since. Still very tired, I went to bed at 8:30 pm and woke up at 8:22 am so am now rested and ready to get on with the day and the chores lol.
Thanks to my family I had a wonderful time this year, unlike many other years this family have had, especially Christmas 2010!
